Last year 2017, there was an outcry on the non-issuance of Passports in Nigeria as the regulations placed on issuing passports were made stricter and there was an indefinite shortage of papers used in printing Passports.
A passport is an official document issued by a government, certifying the holder’s identity and citizenship and entitling them to travel under its protection to and from foreign countries.
However, even though having a Passport is a highly important and essential part of being a citizen of a country, Nigeria defaulted in the easy and fair issuance of Passports in 2017. Here is a breakdown by state, of how many Passports were issued in Nigeria last year.
